Project PathBuilder
Project Overview
Project PathBuilder is independently developed and operated by Justin N. Howard. It helps rural Kentucky homeschool families provide academically grounded science education while retaining the flexibility of learning at home. The current biology course combines assigned reading, guided notes, written work, concept review, interactive activities, and selected instructor-led demonstrations. Parents remain central to their students’ education, while the project provides course structure, scientific instruction, and dependable educational resources.
How the Program Works
Project PathBuilder provides structured science education for homeschool families, including course design, instruction, learning resources, activities, guidance, and the digital infrastructure used to organize and deliver the program. Parents and guardians remain responsible for how the course is recorded in their own homeschool records, whether credit is awarded, and how grades are used.
The PathBuilder Portal supports the administrative side of the project. Families use it for registration, required agreements, student information, and classroom-account readiness.
Moodle is the online classroom used for course delivery. It hosts course materials, assignments, activities, progress information, and grades.
